I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but recently I’ve really been getting into Twitter (you can follow me at @hughhughes). I just find it’s a really easy way of making a quick comment and a quick connection with people. Even if you don’t use Twitter you can see all of these conversations people are having (try clicking here), like peeping through their curtains into their lives. I really am fascinated by it.
On Friday this week, Friday March 11, I’m going to be doing an interview. It’s going to be a bit different to a normal interview, because it’s going to be a Twitter interview. I think they’re called Tweeterviews. But I’m calling this the #HughQs Interview, or Hugh Hughes in…#HughQs.
Normally when I do interviews, just one person asks me questions about something. So, for example, in this interview with Explorer Magazine recently, just one man was asking about The Wonderful World of Hugh Hughes. But with Hugh Hughes in…#HughQs you can ask the questions – that’s right, you! Anybody can, really – even people who don’t use Twitter.
Some of the questions will be coming from the theatres that I’m performing at later this year. That’s Drum Theatre, Plymouth (@TRPlymouth) and The Junction, Cambridge (@TheJunctionCamb) where I’ll be in March, and also West Yorkshire Playhouse, Leeds (@wyplayhouse) in May.
If there’s ever a question you’ve wanted to ask me then now is your chance to do it. I’ll be answering questions in three sessions during the day, on Friday March 11. Those sessions will be:
Breakfast: 9:30am – 10am
Lunch: 1:30pm – 2pm
Dinner: 5:30pm – 6pm
These are all Greenwich Mean Time (Sioned always says that sounds very unfriendly) but I hope those times are spread across the day enough for us to still catch you awake if you’re outside the UK.
If you’re on Twitter and following me (I’m @hughhughes) you can just ask your interview question over Twitter, or send me a message. Make sure you mark your tweet with #HughQs so everybody can follow the conversation.
I’ll also answer questions posted on my Facebook page (www.facebook.com/therealhughhughes) or as a comment on this blog post (write a question below, if you like). But remember to tag the question with #HughQs.
Remember, even if you’re not on Twitter you can still follow the conversation by searching for that tag: #HughQs. I’ll also be gathering together all of the questions, comments and answers that have been tagged, and publishing them on this site so that you can see them all in one place afterwards.
Thank you for reading, I look forward to speaking with you on Friday!
